Unveiling an exceptional line-up of International Dressage competitors
The Show will host FEI World Cup™ action across three disciplines, including CDI-W Dressage, which will take place on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th December.
Spilt into two competitions, both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle to Music, which are presented by Bret Willson Dressage International Ltd and supported by Horse & Hound, will showcase some of the world’s best Dressage riders.
Britain’s Lottie Fry, fresh from her individual and team bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games leads the stellar field. Lottie the 2022 double individual FEI Dressage World Champion, returns to London with her renowned partner, Glamourdale, looking to reclaim the Grand Prix and Freestyle to Music titles she claimed in 2022. As an ambassador for London International Horse Show, Lottie and Glamourdale are set to delight the crowds with their ever-harmonious performances.
Becky Moody, Lottie's Olympic bronze medal teammate, also returns to Excel London, bringing her home-bred star Jagerbomb, with whom she scored a personal best freestyle mark of 84.357% in Paris. Becky, who debuted at London International in 2023, will look to build on her third place finishes in last year’s Grand Prix and Freestyle. Returning to London with another home-bred superstar is Lewis Carrier with Diego V, a combination that this year celebrated a podium finish in the CDI4* Freestyle at Royal Windsor Horse Show and winning the 2024 LeMieux National Dressage Championships.
The British riders will face challenging competition from an international contingent representing seven different nations. Dutch stars include Hans Peter Minderhoud, Marieke Van Der Putten, and Dinja Van Liere, the current World No.4, who will be partnered by Hartsuijker – after a recent strong performance in Lyon they will be looking to challenge for the top spots. Nanna Skodborg Merrald, currently ranked World No.7 will represent Denmark, other competing countries include Spain, Hungary, Norway, and Ireland which will be represented by Abigail Lyle with Giraldo.
