Isabel Freese with busy weekend at national German competition in Redefin
Schockemöhle rider Norwegian Isabel Freese showed an impressive Prix Sct. Georg win for today´s final qualifier for Nürnberger Burg-Pokal with 9-yr-old Fürst Levantino by Fürst Romancier / Sandro Hit.
From start till end a very powerful test. Lovely balance, superb contact and nice natural closed form, every step with push from hind. Smooth half passes, controlled canter pirouettes, super quality series, supple, uphill with good expression. And not least today´s best rein back - also rewarded from the judging panel with the special price for "best halt with rein back".
Yesterday was with national Grand Prix debut for Freese together with her new ride KWPN stallion Bordeaux. Nice overall picture and very much like we have seen Bordeaux under former Schockemöller rider Eva Möller (now part of Helgstrand Dressage team). Good flow and active piaffe tours but still a bit too open and lack more clear balance. An error at the end of the two times. Nice well balanced canter pirouettes. No 3 with 69.833%.
Isabel was also at start both yesterday in Grand Prix and today in Grand Prix Special with Ulrich Equine´s St. Emilion by Sandro Hit / Ehrenwort, which is former educated and ridden by Dorothee Schneider but moved back to Schockemöhle in order to be sold. From today´s Grand Prix Special Emillion looks like a big horse which needs a bit of extra power / or motivation from the rider, as he for some moments becomes a bit slow in passage, and lack some more energy and go for piaffe and pirouettes. An error by the 15 one times, and at the final Isabel unfortunately chose to make the final extended trot at the diagonal instead of the long side.
Yesterday she was 2nd in Grand Prix with 72,367% and today in Grand Prix Special also 2nd placed with 69,379%.
